Is it bad that....?

Is it bad that after playing around with the laboratory designer for awhile I now want to paint my rl kitties? And give them wings?

Why aren't my REAL kitties pretty florescent colors?

Never thought about that, but the kitty that keeps running around here on my house would look good with tiger stripes.

Blue to make a Bluue tiger!

I made a blue tiger kitty on the designer last night, but a REAL blue tiger kitty would be infinitely cooler... =D

I can't blame you. I've known people to actually dye their cats pretty fluorescent colors. I don't think it's good for the cat though. xD

There are genetically altered cats that have a fluorescent jellyfish gene added to their DNA, and they glow under black light. It's rather amazing.

Also, I bet a blue tiger kitty would be win.

Oh my goodness! I so want a genetically altered blacklight glow kitty now! That would be pure and total win! =D

I've seen pictures of those cats! They look very cool!
I actually received a book for my birthday a while ago full of pictures of cats that were painted with some type of vegetable cat, and they looked amazing! Not to say that cats can be beautiful without anyone paint or makeup,

Oh! Actually, I have seen some crazy-looking painted cats too. They had monarch butterfly faces and such.

Yes, I'd be very intrigued to know if there are any other negative effects of such a rare gene splicing as that...speaking of genetics, does anyone know if the markings will be co-dominant with one-another?

No, I think it was in a book too. It had all kinds of things like masquerade masks, sports teams, other animals, and plants.

It's not that hard to splice some genes, as long as you know what you're doing. I've done the fluorescent gene addition thing with bacteria before. I think a cat is a little more complicated because it's a multi-cellular organism, but it involves some of the same basic principals. Also, when you say co-dominant do you mean something like white marking + red marking = pink marking?

Really? I did that at a college lab on a trip with my school, very fun.
That's incomplete dominance: red + white = pink
Co-dominance are when both traits are expressed equally: like black cow + white cow = spotted black and white cow.

I could never paint my cat. I just love her too much to do anything like that to her. Though that does sound like something that my sister would do, considering she likes doing not-so-nice stuff to my cat.

There are glow in the dark cats.
